Grandson Sundar remembers...

Two things i remember most about patti- roughly translated from tamil- 1) “never be idle, always be doing something - whether routine work or bigger things”. She led by example on this, whether, say, offering to quickly make hot “crisp” dosais for guests or creating works of art like detailed Tanjore paintings, which evolved into a small family business. 2) “sundar should talk more, a lot more”. well that was more for me 😀
